Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or related STEM discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in frontend design and/or development (post bachelors completed).
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern web frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Demonstrated ability in user research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, and accessibility.
  • Proven ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
  • U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

The Engineering Applications Department (EAD) is seeking a FrontendDesigner & Developer to create world-class user experience for complex space systems.

We develop cutting-edge visualization tools from sophisticated web and desktop applications to immersive experiences, that transform complex engineering data into intuitive interfaces for critical decision-making in civil, commercial, and national security space programs.

ISCD staff leverage cutting-edge information system technologies, including elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and advanced visualization frameworks, combined with expertise in software architecture, AI, and cybersecurity to deliver high-performance systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.

You will work closely with product experience designers and other engineers to translate customer needs into innovative design solutions.

Work Model - This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You Need to be Successful – Member of Technical Staff – System Software Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or related STEM discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in frontend design and/or development (post bachelors completed)
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern web frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Demonstrated ability in user research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, and accessibility
  • Proven ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
  • U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
  • Master's or Ph.D. in HCI, Computer Science, Design, or Human Factors
  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools and methodologies
  • Proficiency with Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, or equivalent modeling tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and staff
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale design systems
  • Previous experience working with aerospace or defense industry clients
  • Current DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. (Min - Max) $86,600.00 - $129,800.00 Pay Basis: Annual
