Job summary

U.S. Forensic, LLC, part of the ATS family, seeks an entry-level forensic civil/structural engineer (EI/EIT) to investigate structural failures and construction defects. The role includes travel to sites and a path to PE licensure through mentorship and experience.

The candidate will be based in the San Antonio or Houston area, supporting investigations across regions and advancing in forensic engineering within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EI/EIT preferred or obtained.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures and construction defects.
• Perform site inspections and gather data for forensic analysis.
• Apply engineering principles to assess structural issues.
• Prepare clear technical reports with findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Stay current with codes and standards related to structural engineering.
• Other duties as assigned.
