Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, presentations and procedures.
• Passion advancing the science of safety and in exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services under the direction of a P.E. or experienced consultant.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Assist in resolving design problems via field investigations, detailed design, and coordination.
• Identify applicable codes and standards for project guidance.
• Conduct basic building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection and alarm systems reviews, and hydraulic calculations.
• Apply engineering calculations for egress, building area, sprinkler and smoke control systems.
• Submit progress reports to Project Managers/Leaders.
• CADD document preparation/production may be required.
• Read and interpret journals, procedures, and regulations.
