Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking an entry-level Fire Protection Engineer to join our Boise office. You will contribute to the design of automatic suppression, fire detection, and life-safety systems as part of a dynamic, team-focused group.

This role offers exposure to code analysis, egress studies, and coordination with civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Background in Fire Protection or Fire Alarm industry is preferred.
• Experience with drafting software (REVIT and AutoCAD) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support design of automatic suppression systems, fire detection, and alarms.
• Assist with code analysis, egress analysis, and life-safety concepts.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects.
