Job summary

SJ Janis Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our Elm Grove, WI team. You will deliver precise finish work on high-end remodeling projects, installing trim, cabinetry, doors, and millwork with strict quality control.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years of residential finish carpentry, can read plans, and work independently with little supervision. This full-time onsite role offers competitive hourly wages and opportunities for growth within a well-established firm.

• 2-3+ years of professional finish carpentry experience in residential remodeling
• Experience installing trim, cabinetry, doors, and finish details
• Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

• Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering outstanding work

Responsibilities

• Install interior trim, doors, baseboards, casings, crown molding, and other finish carpentry components
• Install cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural millwork
• Complete finish carpentry work with a high level of precision and attention to detail
• Read construction drawings and follow project specifications
• Work closely with Project Managers and Lead Carpenters to deliver exceptional results
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
• Assist with general carpentry work when project needs require it
• Consistently produce finish work that meets high standards
• Complete installations with accuracy while minimizing callbacks
• Earn the trust of Project Managers and Lead Carpenters through dependable performance
• Maintain professional jobsites and receive positive feedback from homeowners and teammates
• Continue developing skills while contributing to exceptional remodeling projects

What You’ll Do

As a Finish Carpenter, you’ll help bring custom remodeling projects to life through detailed craftsmanship and quality execution.

Your Responsibilities Include
