Job summary

Amentum seeks a Junior Intelligence Research Analyst to support FinCEN’s research and analysis division in combatting financial crimes, including terrorist financing and money laundering. You will research and analyze complex information to identify illicit actors and their support networks.

The role requires strong open-source investigation, data synthesis, and the ability to produce high-quality intelligence products for senior stakeholders. A TS/SCI clearance is required, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of investigative support experience.
• Proficient in Access, Excel, and Word.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative/quantitative data.
• Experience with open-source research and analysis.
• Ability to write high-quality intelligence products and briefs for senior audiences.
• Experience identifying financial crimes (terrorism, money laundering, fraud).

Responsibilities

• Uncover and document hidden relationships between target individuals and entities.
• Create reports synthesizing all-source intelligence on suspected financers.
• Research evolving illicit finance methodologies and AML regimes.
• Produce authoritative reports with new insights for financial actions against high-priority targets.
• Apply process improvement and reengineering to modernization projects.
• Demonstrate expertise in applying operational policies and strategies.
