Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to support a project in accounting and finance functions. The role covers cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance. It is part of the Operational Finance department within the Power Market.

The position offers growth in a large-scale construction finance environment with opportunities for relocation and travel as projects span the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Qualifications

  • 0 - 2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
  • Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship for employment to begin or continue employment with our company.
  • Ability to travel and/or relocate as required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferred.
  • Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passionate for continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Previous internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports cost control, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Assists with human capital management and compliance.
  • Participates in month-end close and prepares financial reporting packages.
  • Works with cost and revenue components such as labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
