Job summary

Diaconia seeks a junior Financial Analyst to support PPBE-based budgeting for Federal client screening programs. You will work with the Program Manager and senior staff to maintain spend plans, analyze variances, and prepare financial reports.

Responsibilities include maintaining trackers, comparing spending, aiding future-year budget inputs, reviewing PR packages, and producing tables and slides for briefings; familiarity with PPBE/PPBES is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant financial or analytical support experience; internships or coursework may be considered.
• Familiarity with PPBE concepts and basic budget formulation, execution, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to check data accuracy and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budget and spend-plan trackers; compile and validate Government-provided financial data and historical funding allocation records.
• Compare planned and actual spending, research discrepancies, and flag funding or execution concerns for senior review.
• Prepare future-year budget inputs, resource requirements, and supporting analyses for PPBE/PPBES.
• Assist with Purchase Request (PR) package reviews and quality checks of funding approval and allocation documents; track corrections.
• Prepare accurate financial tables, briefing slides, and data-call responses; coordinate with scheduling and risk staff on financial changes to program plans.
• Contribute to bi-weekly spend-plan reports, quarterly financial briefings, and division-wide budget analyses; provide inputs to status reporting.
