Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Junior Field Services Engineer to deliver maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of Waygate Technologies equipment at customer sites. This role requires extensive travel and the candidate will work with Phoenix 2D & 3D CT X-ray testing hardware and software.

As a Junior Field Services Engineer, you will be delivering a wide range of services including standard maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of Waygate Technologies equipment. You will be working on Phoenix 2D & 3D CT X‑ray testing machine hardware and software at both Waygate and customer locations. This role requires extensive travel, expected to exceed 70%.

As a Junior Field Services Engineer, after completing a rigorous technical training program, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial X‑ray systems and supporting peripheral equipment such as X-ray tubes, generators, coolers, scanners, stepper motors/controllers, power supplies, high‑voltage control circuits, motion control systems, and high‑end PCs.
• Providing technical support to customers via phone and on‑site service visits.
• Completing service reports, invoicing packages, and administrative documentation in a timely manner.
• Driving customer satisfaction by delivering high‑quality service and honoring commitments.
• Monitoring site safety throughout the execution of all work scopes.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a four‑year technical degree (AEET, AMET) with experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment OR have a four‑year degree in Electronics (BSEET, BSEE) or Mechanics (BSMET, BSME).
• Have the ability to regularly lift/move up to 20 lbs. and frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Have the willingness to undergo background checks including employment verification, criminal history, driving record, and education.
• Have the ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
• Have a valid driver’s license and passport (or the ability to obtain one).
• Have valid U.S. citizenship status.
