FlatironDragados is seeking a Field Engineer to lead on-site activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes and contract specs. You will provide technical input, coordinate with project crews, and manage resources to keep production on time and within budget.

The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications and data, planning field layouts, and obtaining necessary permits. Collaboration with engineers and subcontractors is essential for project success and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1+ year of experience preferred in construction engineering.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, drawing and specifications, building materials and applicable standards.
• Ability to take responsibility, communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
• Collects and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plans and scheduling; identifies risk elements that could impact budget or schedule.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections and documents activities using approved methods.
• Remits accurate project quantity input and manages cost coding with finance and accounting teams.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards; coordinates with Office Manager, payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Reviews project specifications for quality assurance at start, during, and after; initiates and manages certificates, inspections and documentation.
• Plans field layout with crews and ensures utilities and commercial lines are marked; manages permits as needed.
• Assists development of design drawings and provides technical input as required.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
