Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking a New College Graduate / Early Career Field Application Engineer. You’ll bridge NXP products with customer applications, solving technical problems, supporting design-in activity, and building deep applications knowledge alongside senior engineers.

The role offers hands-on engineering and direct customer interaction, onboarding programs, and opportunities to travel within North America as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Recent degree in a technical field and strong electronics foundation.
• Experience with embedded MCU/MPU software for robotics applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with analog/digital circuits, embedded systems, and software development in C/C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with debugging environments, IDEs, evaluation boards, and lab tools.
• Strong problem-solving, quick learning, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to sales teams and customers covering NXP portfolio, including MCU/MPU selection and software stack integration.
• Lead proofs of concept, product evaluations, debugging, and lab validation.
• Assist with schematic and PCB reviews and product demonstrations.
• Prepare technical presentations and training materials with guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate customer needs and opportunities.
• Drive enablement by collecting feedback and improving tools, collateral, and documentation.
• Represent NXP at customer meetings, workshops, and industry events.
