Job summary

Cadmus Group LLC seeks candidates to support homeland security exercise programs for public and private sector clients, partners, and stakeholders. You will design, execute, and evaluate exercises across hazards such as terrorism, cybersecurity, and natural disasters.

The role includes policy assessment, professional writing, and strategic planning with some domestic travel. This position is for a proposal effort and offers contingent upon award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, homeland security, national security, public policy, political science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in exercise planning, emergency management, homeland security, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of emergency management, homeland security, or exercise planning principles.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and professional writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow established processes, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and correct one's own work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to support occasional domestic travel.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to earn a favorable Public Trust clearance and/or DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program exercises for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
• Assist with development of exercise objectives, scenarios, meeting materials, participant communications, facilitator materials, evaluation materials, and exercise reports.
• Conduct background research and analyze information related to homeland security, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, emergency management, and exercise scenarios.
• Coordinate scheduling, participant tracking, document management, meeting support, and exercise logistics.
• Support planning meetings, exercise delivery, facilitation, evaluation, and after-action activities with government and private-sector stakeholders.
• Capture meeting notes, decisions, action items, participant feedback, and exercise observations accurately and consistently.
• Draft and revise reports, presentations, briefing materials, and other client deliverables using established templates and style requirements.
• Perform quality-control reviews for grammar, formatting, consistency, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and complete assigned tasks within established schedules.

What You'll Be Doing

Cadmus seeks candidates to support upcoming homeland security exercises programs for both public and private sector clients, partners, and stakeholders. Successful candidates will support the design, execution, and evaluation of homeland security exercise programs covering a range of hazards, including terrorism, cybersecurity, and natural disasters. • Minimum of at least two (2) years of professional experience, with relevant professional supporting projects related to exercise planning, emergency management, homeland security, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, or a related field; preference given to those with experience in homeland security, emergency management, and exercises.
• Foundational knowledge of emergency management, homeland security, or exercise planning principles.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and professional writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow established processes, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and correct one's own work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with HSEEP doctrine, terminology, and exercise documentation.
• Experience supporting tabletop, workshop, seminar, drill, or functional exercise activities.
• Completion of relevant Federal Emergency Management Agency or HSEEP training.
