Job summary

Quanta Services in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Junior Estimator to support the estimating team with quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid documents for electrical, utility and infrastructure projects. This entry‑level role works under senior estimators to develop technical and commercial skills for growth into a full estimator.

The position requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience, plus 0–2 years of related work.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of construction/estimating/engineering experience; internships count.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Must be able to report to the Beaumont office Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs of materials, equipment and labor from drawings and specifications using takeoff software and spreadsheets.
• Request and compile vendor and subcontractor quotes; enter pricing into estimates and track quote deadlines.
• Assist senior estimators in building cost estimates using company unit-cost databases and templates.
• Review addenda and flag scope changes, discrepancies and missing information for the estimating team.
• Prepare bid documents, proposal packages, bid forms and supporting backup for submission.
• Check and verify own work and others' calculations for accuracy; follow estimating quality-control procedures.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as assigned, and document findings.
• Maintain organized bid files, plan sets and estimate records.
• Update cost databases with current pricing and completed-project data.
• Participate in post-bid reviews and training to build estimating skills.

About this Role

R.R. Cassidy is searching for an Junior Estimator in Beaumont, TX. The Junior Estimator supports the estimating team by performing quantity takeoffs, gathering pricing and assembling bid documents for electrical, utility and infrastructure projects. Working under the guidance of senior and lead estimators, this entry‑level role builds the technical and commercial skills needed to grow into a full estimator.
