Job summary

ARCH Global Precision is seeking a CAD drafter in Rhode Island to work with senior engineers on the creation and updating of CAD drawings for standard cutting tool products. The role includes estimating costs and providing technical assistance to customers.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and an Associate degree in engineering or is enrolled in a 2-year engineering program, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a full-time, on-site position in Lincoln, RI.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to create and update CAD drawings for tools.
  • Ability to estimate costs for quotes and communicate results clearly.
  • Experience/service mindset in handling customer inquiries and technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update CAD drawings for standard cutting tool products.
  • Review customer order requests and compare to previous orders; update CAD drawings as needed.
  • Create CAD drawings for new special cutting tools by researching previous orders.
  • Calculate quoted prices for special inquiries.
  • Aids in development and continuous improvement of procedures.
  • Aids in retrieving historical and traceability information for new and previous requests.

  • Maintain and update CAD drawings for standard cutting tool product.
  • Review customer order requests compare to previous orders and update CAD drawings as needed.
  • Create CAD drawings for new special cutting tools buy researching previous similar orders.
  • Aids in the development and continuous improvement of procedures.
  • Aids in retrieving historical and trace ability information for new and previous requests.
