Job summary

Garmin is hiring a full-time Software Engineer 1 in Olathe, Kansas. You will develop basic software for Garmin products using C, C++, C#, Java, and assembly language, while supporting production maintenance and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent academics (GPA ≥ 3.0)
• Knowledge/experience to develop basic software in C, C++, C#, Java, assembly or other languages

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain basic software for Garmin products or applications using C, C++, C#, Java, and assembly language
• Troubleshoot issues, reproduce, evaluate causes, implement and test solutions
• Identify and resolve defects of basic scope with standard tools (debuggers, emulators, simulators)
• Document designs with standards and procedures
• Support on-call rotation for Garmin’s 24/7 operations
