Job summary

UAB's Engineering and Innovative Technology Development (EITD) group in the United States is seeking an entry-level Embedded Software Developer to assist in the development, testing, and deployment of desktop, web-based, and embedded software for space payload systems.

Bachelor's degree required. You will work with advanced microcontrollers and IDEs, support design, testing, and analysis tasks, and collaborate with senior engineers in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Experience with embedded firmware development and programming in C/C++.
• Familiarity with Python and basic software testing activities.
• Ability to design, test, and analyze technical products and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
• Support meetings, teleconferences, and travel as required by projects.
• Reports to EITD Software Section Lead.
• Performs simple and routine software development and testing tasks with standard techniques.
• Assists more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, testing, analysis, computation methods, and reports.
