Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical in Atlanta seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer/Designer to help execute electrical design for mission-critical projects and learn under senior engineers. You will contribute to both greenfield and brownfield data center designs and power systems studies.

Working with a collaborative team across disciplines, you’ll gain hands-on experience with Revit, industry codes, and project coordination, while developing your professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 or 4-year degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology (preferred).
• Electrical construction experience with drafting certification considered.
• Past internship, co-op, or work experience in consulting engineering is a plus.
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
• Experience using Revit in education or professional context is a plus.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design tasks for mission critical buildings and campuses.
• Coordinate between internal and external disciplines for electrical power connections.
• Review client standards, design criteria, applicable codes, and best practices.
• Learn local and national construction codes and project specifications.
• Utilize Autodesk Revit daily to produce detailed design documents.
• Use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams for project work.
• Meet project deadlines and work necessary hours to complete major deliverables.
• Travel to project sites and meetings up to 10%.
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken form.
• Take direction from senior/mid-level engineers and participate in training.
