Job summary

Quartzelec Ltd. is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role offers exposure to design, development, testing, manufacture and lifecycle support of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and complete machine systems.

You will work closely with experienced engineers on new builds, upgrades, retrofits, diagnostics, testing and service support, with structured development and mentoring to build a long-term engineering career.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Strong interest in electrical machines, power systems or rotating equipment.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and engineering drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of electrical rotating machinery (stators/rotors).
• Support projects involving machine upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
• Produce and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Assist with testing activities including data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Support diagnostics, fault finding and root-cause investigations on electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of electrical rotating machinery, including stators, rotors, and associated components.
• Support engineering projects involving machine upgrades, retrofits, and modifications.
• Produce and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Assist with testing activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
