Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I to help oversee electrical construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery, client satisfaction, and strong profit.

The role involves supporting the Project Manager, coordinating with crews and vendors, and maintaining safety and reporting standards across field and office locations. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Estimator/Project Engineer experience in electrical construction, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Construction

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in service management duties.
• Proactively develop solutions to issues that arise.
• Study bid specifications and drawings carefully.
• Communicate continuously with clients.
• Deliver projects in a timely manner.
• Attend networking events and travel to conferences and job sites as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with crews, superintendents, and other departments.
• Ensure safety procedures and policies are followed.
• Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Prepare construction schedules in MS Projects and/or Primavera.
