Job summary

True Anomaly is hiring a DevOps Engineer I to support CI/CD, deployments, and cloud operations. You’ll learn under senior engineers, contribute to automation, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

The 3-month temporary engagement has potential to convert to regular employment based on performance and business need, with onsite work at Long Beach, CA, and collaboration across cloud platforms including Azure and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud environments, or systems administration.
  • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and familiarity with command line tools.
  • Introductory experience or coursework in CI/CD concepts, containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to basic scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Learn fundamentals of software deployment and operations, contributing to evolving cloud-based systems.
  • Assist in maintaining reliable, version-controlled deployments critical to engineering and product development.
  • Work with senior engineers to support and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Assist in deploying and scaling applications on container platforms (Kubernetes), ensuring performance and cost targets.
  • Support design and management of cloud-based solutions, primarily on Azure, with security best practices.
  • Help provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with security teams by following established guidelines.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot deployment issues.
  • Build and refine Docker images for development and testing environments.
  • Experiment with emerging tools to modernize workflows.
