Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Design Quality Engineer I within Released Product Engineering Quality for the Wound Management portfolio. The role provides quality engineering support for post-market and sustaining activities across released medical devices, ensuring changes and improvements comply with the Medtronic Quality Management System and design control requirements.

The position collaborates with design, manufacturing, regulatory, and other teams to assess product changes, support documentation

Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree and 0 years relevant experience.
• Quality engineering experience in medical device or similar regulated environment preferred.
• Familiarity with design controls, risk assessment and product documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develops, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into finished products.
• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Implements inspection and testing methods, and performs statistical analysis to assess product conformity and cost implications.
• Ensures corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation complies with requirements.
• May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation or reliability areas as they apply to quality.
