Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is seeking an entry-level Database Engineer to help design, develop, and optimize data storage and retrieval solutions. You will work across the front end of the lifecycle—from requirements through system acceptance testing and IOC—and contribute to cloud-based data initiatives.

This role requires a technical degree and an TS/SCI with polygraph; you will build relational and OO databases, implement data flows, and create queries and macros to transform data into

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required.
• 5 years of related DBE experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.
• Develop relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Translate requirements and data into usable documents by creating or updating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros; build complex systems using SQL/ODBC and cloud methods.
• Work primarily at the front end of the lifecycle—from requirements through system acceptance testing and IOC.
• Assistance with recommendations for systems improvements, optimization, development and maintenance efforts.
