Newrez in Coppell, TX seeks a Junior Database Administrator to support IT in designing and maintaining relational databases, promoting data sharing, and ensuring data integrity across OLTP and BI workflows.

The role collaborates with security and software teams to implement SQL Server and Oracle solutions, perform backups, tuning, and documentation, with opportunities for growth through certifications and hands-on project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience with Oracle and SQL Server on Windows.
• Experience applying service packs, patches, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Database design, implementation, administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery of enterprise databases.
• Define standards for security, optimization, and data structures for OLTP and BI usage.
• Collaborate with Security and Network teams to align SQL Server security with Windows policy.
• Develop and refine database documentation and procedures; ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
• Migrate data, participate in DRBCP drills, and support production deployment of SQL-based solutions.
