Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS/AI/Math (or related fields)
• 0-3 years professional experience
• Strong statistics, probability, and ML skills
• Fluency in R, Python, C++ and/or Java
• Experience with SQL databases
• Experience with ML platforms like Spark, Hadoop, TensorFlow
• Data visualization skills are a plus
• Attention to detail and end-to-end ownership
• Strong communication and curiosity

JUNIOR DATA SCIENTIST

We're hiring! We are looking for a junior Data Scientist to join our growing team based in Amsterdam.

Human Data Associates is a specialised start-up with extensive in-house expertise. As a Data Scientist at HDA, your key responsibility is to use machine learning techniques to automate advanced marketing insights.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate large and complex behavioural data sets that do not fit into the memory of a single machine
• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Develop statistical models for advanced marketing insights and bring them in production
• Assist with the design and hands-on rollout of prototype systems for implementation
• Expand choice of analytical techniques used
• Develop data acquisition tooling in Java, scripts etc

We Get Excited About Candidates Who Have

• A relevant Master or PhD in subjects ranging from computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, astrophysics, to cognitive neuroscience
• 0-3 years professional experience
• Strong skills in statistics, probability, and/or machine learning
• Fluency in languages such as R, Python, C++ and/or Java
• Experience with relational databases / SQL
• Experience using EMR, Spark, Flink, H2O, TensorFlow and/or other non-relational DBs or ML platforms
• Good skills in data visualization (big plus)
