Beacon Hill is seeking a junior Data Engineer to design and maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse, supporting reporting, analytics, and AI-driven use cases. This role requires strong hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Python, SQL, and cloud-based data pipelines.

The ideal candidate will build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, work in an Agile team, and collaborate with data engineers, integration, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
• Experience with GCS and BigQuery.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Airflow/Cloud Composer and Cloud Data Fusion.
• Experience with Google Cloud Functions and BigQuery Data Transfer Service.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with GitHub / version control.
• Experience in an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and EDW solutions.
• Develop scalable data solutions using GCS, BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, and BQ Data Transfer Service.
• Write and optimize Python and SQL for data processing and integration.
• Collaborate with data engineering, integration, production support, and business teams.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and EDW production issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
• Document pipelines and systems using Gemini/Claude guidance where applicable.
• Prioritize tasks to deliver high-impact results on schedule.

Must-Haves

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data engineering, integration, production support, and business teams to develop new functionality.


• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, integration, and EDW production issues.


• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Use Google Gemini or Claude to assist with creating detailed technical and system documentation for data pipelines.


• Manage competing priorities while ensuring high-impact deliverables are completed on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.


• Google Cloud Platform certifications.


• Experience supporting data platforms used for reporting, analytics, Agentic AI, or Generative AI use cases.


• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
