Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. is seeking a data-focused engineer to join our team in California. You will design and operate data integrations, reporting pipelines, and data transformation systems to empower business analytics.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree, strong Python skills, experience with SQL databases, and a hands-on approach to building scalable ETL/ELT processes with attention to quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Data Analytics/Data Science or related discipline.
• Intermediate Python proficiency; experience in data processing (NumPy, Pandas) is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the analytics team to find reliable data solutions for business needs.
• Design and implement scalable ETL or ELT processes to support data demand.
• Perform data extraction, manipulation, and production from database tables.
• Build utilities, user-defined functions, and frameworks to enable data flow patterns.
• Build and incorporate automated unit tests; participate in integration testing.
• Work with teams to resolve operational & performance issues.
• Work with leads to ensure quality solutions and engineering best practices.

You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and operating integrations, reporting pipelines, and data transformation systems.

Qualifications:

Compensation

$62,000 – $80,000/year
