Job summary

Intrepid, an SPA Company, seeks a Junior Solution Architect to support the Defense Health Agency Chief Data and Analytics Office in building an enterprise data orchestration layer for the Military Health System.

The role focuses on bringing together data from diverse defense and federal systems to create scalable data pipelines, APIs, and data products that improve access and usability of health information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Foundational understanding of software, data, cloud, or architecture concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to document current systems and data flows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of data and technology solutions spanning cloud, on-premises, and government-hosted environments.
• Translate mission needs into technical requirements and designs.
• Document current systems, data flows, and modernization opportunities.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and interface docs.
• Research technologies and summarize benefits, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Apply reference architectures and engineering practices.
• Participate in technical discovery sessions and customer meetings.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to align implementation with designs.
• Communicate progress and technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Represent SPA as a dependable technical partner across the customer ecosystem.
