Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) seeks a Jr Cyber Defense Incident Responder to support the 33 Cyber Operations Squadron, providing incident response for alerts tied to the Air Force CSSP program. Location: San Antonio, on-site at Lackland AFB.

You will analyze malicious activity, network traffic, and correlate across data sources to protect critical systems. Responsibilities include coordinating with enterprise defense teams, documenting incidents, and performing trend analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of incident handling/response, cyber threat hunting, forensics, and analysis.
• Associate’s Degree or Higher in Cybersecurity, CS or related field.
• IAT II 8140 Certification.
• GCFA certification.
• Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with potential for higher read-ins.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security methodologies.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, ethics in cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and methods.

Responsibilities

• Analyze identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited and methods used.
• Characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalies and threats.
• Conduct research and correlation across multiple data sources for indicators and warnings.
• Coordinate with enterprise cyber defense staff to validate alerts.
• Document and escalate incidents with history, status, and potential impact.
• Identify and analyze anomalies in network traffic using metadata.
• Identify applications and OS on devices based on traffic.
• Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting.
• Perform event correlation to gain situational awareness.
• Ability to interpret data from multiple tool sources.
• All other duties as defined by CSSP.
