Job summary

NIRAS US in Cary, NC is seeking a Junior Consultant to grow a career in life science consulting. You will work with experienced colleagues on projects spanning engineering, operations, and business improvement, gaining exposure to clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes analytical problem solving, data interpretation, and clear communication of technical concepts. You will travel to client sites and collaborate with experts across disciplines, building your consulting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Basic understanding of engineering design, manufacturing, or operational processes.

Your new workday will include

As a Junior Consultant, you will:

• Support project teams with engineering, operational, and business improvement activities primarily within Life Science / BioTech / Pharmaceutical industries
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical and business data
• Support problem-solving and process improvement initiatives
• Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for clients and project teams
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders across disciplines
• Participate in client meetings and support the communication of technical concepts and recommendations
• Work on-site with clients and travel when required

You bring:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical and business data
• A basic understanding of engineering design, manufacturing, construction, or operational processes
• A basic understanding of GMP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and project teams
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• A willingness to learn quickly and work across multiple industries and technologies
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

• Flexibility to travel and work on-site with clients when required
