Job summary

Satterfield & Pontikes is seeking a Project Engineer I / Field Engineer I (2027 Graduate) to join our DFW team. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in documenting, coordinating, scheduling, procurement, and field operations under experienced construction professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (graduation anticipated in 2027).
• Strong reading of construction drawings, specs, and documents.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project schedule updates and schedule narratives.
• Review and process submittals to support project schedules and contract compliance.
• Maintain accurate submittal logs, approvals, revisions, and resubmittals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to expedite material deliveries.
• Verify materials for quantity, quality, and compliance with submittals.
• Support RFI process and maintain current drawing sets.
• Attend subcontractor preconstruction meetings and support safety planning.
• Assist with budget tracking and cost control activities.
• Gather data for monthly owner and subcontractor pay applications.
• Support field purchasing activities and production analysis.
