Job summary

Langan is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join its collaborative Detroit team. You will assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience across mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and other exciting land development projects.

This role provides exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of work-related experience.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team.
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics and geologic data for planning and design impacts.
• Recommend new approaches to improve efficiency and services.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; perform other duties as requested.
