Job summary

Actalent is seeking an entry-level Assistant Engineer in Valencia, CA to support civil engineering and land development tasks under close supervision. You will perform basic drafting, grading, drainage, and QA/QC work using CADD and standard practices.

This hybrid role offers professional growth, an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, and benefits including PTO, holidays, 401(k), and insurance. A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required; EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of grading, drainage and storm water concepts is required.
• Experience with CADD and engineering documentation is expected.
• Entry-level role with supervision and strong technical fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and drafting assignments to develop technical skills.
• Apply standard practices and procedures with supervision.
• Produce design and documentation for land development including grading and drainage.
• Conduct QA/QC on tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare plans using CADD and related software.
