Cochran in Union, Missouri is seeking a Design Engineer to join our civil engineering design team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in planning and designing civil infrastructure projects, from roads to water/wastewater facilities, with mentorship from senior engineers.

Responsibilities include preparing plans and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D, performing basic calculations, site visits, and coordinating with drafters and surveyors to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of HEC-RAS, MicroStation or GIS is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the design and preparation of plans, reports, and specifications for civil infrastructure projects.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software to create and modify construction drawings.
• Perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed.
• Support permitting and approval processes by preparing documentation and submittals.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Participate in internal design reviews and project coordination efforts.
