Job summary

The Halo Group is seeking a Junior Cisco Engineer located in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Cisco core router and switching technology and will have 2–4 years of relevant experience. You will work with Cisco ASA firewalls, IPS/IDS, and wireless technologies in a contract-to-hire role.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience with Cisco equipment.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine 2.0 and above.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Junior Cisco Network Engineer
• 2–4 years’ experience with Cisco equipment
• IPV6 experience
• Experience with Cisco core router and switching technology
• Cisco ASA firewalls
• Cisco IDS/IPS experience (5506-X, Firepower services); threat Cisco IPS, IDS
• Cisco wireless technologies and wireless controllers
• Experience with Cisco Collaboration Suite (CUCM 11, Voice Gateways, CUCM Express, meeting place, Webex)
• Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine 2.0 and above – hands‑on experience required
• Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
• Network security tools: Nagios, Rancid, Stealthwatch, Cisco NCS, etc.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
• Experience with VPN and wireless security
