Job summary

Flight Specialties Components Corp., a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is seeking a Junior Buyer to support purchasing activities at our Highland Heights facility. You will issue and track purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and assist with inventory and forecasting to ensure on-time parts availability.

The role requires 1–2 years in aerospace or related field, strong Excel/Project skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field, communications, marketing or business management preferred.
• 1–2 years in aerospace/aviation or related technical industry preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and update purchase orders.
• Track purchases within the supply chain group and ensure timely receipt of deliverables.
• Assist Lead Buyer in managing inventory, setting stock levels and forecasting purchases.
• Maintain supplier lead times and cost data.
• Assist with identifying new and existing suppliers.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage supplier relationships.
• Ensure availability of office supplies and other daily use items.
• Perform any additional duties as required by management.

Flight Specialties Components Corp. (FSC), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer to assist in the coordination of purchases made at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio. This position reports directly to the Lead Buyer and works with all departments of the business unit to coordinate the purchasing activity.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create, issue, and update purchase orders
• Work within the supply chain group to track purchases and manage timely receipt of deliverables
• Assist the Lead Buyer in managing inventory, setting stock levels and forecasting purchases to insure availability of parts to fill customer orders
• Maintain and update data on supplier lead times and costs
• Assist with identifying and working with new and existing suppliers as necessary
• Work with other members of the supply chain group in managing supplier relationships
• Insure availability of office supplies and other daily use items required throughout the facility
• Additional duties and responsibilities that may be required by management.

This position may require up to 10% travel to visit suppliers and to attend training.

EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• A two- or four-year Degree in a technical field, Communications, Marketing or Business Management from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years in aerospace/aviation or other technical industry, Product Development and/or Market Research is preferred.
• Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc...) is preferred.
• Must be able to work in both a team environment and independently.
• Ability to effectively interact with Team Members of all levels.
• Highly responsive to internal and external customer requirements.
• Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and have the drive and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
