Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Anderson, SC is seeking a Purchasing Intern to support day-to-day procurement activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Buyers, Planning, Operations, and suppliers to ensure material availability, PO management, reporting, and continuous improvement, while gaining hands-on experience in supply chain analytics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buyers with purchase order creation, maintenance, and supplier follow-up.
• Track open, planned, unconfirmed, and past-due purchase orders.
• Support supplier communication regarding order confirmations, delivery dates, and material status.
• Assist with Clear-to-Build (CTB) reporting and identification of potential material shortages.
• Maintain and analyze purchasing metrics and supplier performance data.
• Support New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) purchasing activities.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and purchasing system maintenance.
• Work with Buyers to identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and other Supply Chain functions.
• Support special projects and other Purchasing Department initiatives as assigned.
