Job summary

MIRACORP in Washington, DC is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Budget Specialist to support budget execution, financial reporting, staffing and funding analysis, and resource planning under guidance of senior team members.

You will develop dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, prepare financial reports and briefing materials, and help with year-end processes. US Citizenship required; Bachelor’s degree and 0–3 years’ experience; proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• US Citizen and bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 0–3 years of budgeting, financial analysis, accounting, or data analytics experience.
• Basic budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budget execution, monitoring, reconciliation, forecasting, and closeout.
• Track commitments, obligations, expenditures, and funding utilization.
• Collect, validate, reconcile, and organize financial and staffing data.
• Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, charts, dashboards, and briefing materials.
• Develop and update dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
• Support year-end activities, audits, and data requests.
