Job summary

La La Land is seeking a Jr. Graphic Designer to support our Marketing team in bringing our visual brand to life across print, digital, retail design, and brand applications.

You will work on strategic campaigns and day-to-day ops to maintain brand cohesion across 30+ locations, collaborating with the Sr. Graphic Designer, Marketing team, Operations, and store teams to translate ideas into compelling visual solutions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional design experience.
• Portfolio showing versatility across multiple mediums (print, digital, retail/store design).
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; Figma is a plus.
• Strong foundational understanding of typography and visual communication.
• Experience preparing files for print production and understanding print production basics.
• Familiarity with digital design for social media, email, or web platforms.
• Solid understanding of brand systems and how individual designs fit into a larger whole.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work with feedback and iterate quickly.
• Enthusiasm for learning new tools, techniques, and design approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support design across digital, print, merchandise, and retail brand experiences.
• Develop design assets for integrated campaigns and seasonal initiatives under creative direction.
• Design and support packaging, merchandise, labels, and branded products within the brand system.
• Create digital assets and graphics for social media, email, web, and other channels.
• Produce printed and retail brand expressions including signage, menus, store graphics and displays.
• Translate concepts across scale and context and incorporate feedback from senior designers.
• Create mockups and prototypes to refine concepts before production.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Cafe teams to understand project briefs.
• Present design work clearly to Sr. Graphic Designer and Marketing partners.
• Manage design projects through revision, production, and delivery with attention to detail.
• Handle ad hoc requests and maintenance work for menus, signage, and location collateral.
• Partner with vendors and production teams to understand materials and fabrication options.
• Continuously learn and contribute ideas for new design approaches.
