Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks a Junior Product Engineer / Design Release Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and release of automotive brake system components. You will work with cross-functional teams and Tier-1 suppliers to meet performance, quality, safety, cost, and timing targets.

You will assist in reviewing drawings, test reports, and fixtures, participate in prototype builds, and help drive plant launches while ensuring FMVSS compliance and regional homologation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
• 0-3 years of automotive product engineering, design, validation, or manufacturing experience.
• Fundamental brake mechanics, hydraulic systems, and mechanical design principles.
• Exposure to DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, and PPAP concepts.
• Experience with CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or Teamcenter PLM.

Responsibilities

• Release design, sizing, validation, and engineering release of brake components.
• Draft technical requirements, specifications, RFQs, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and control plans.
• Coordinate with Tier-1 suppliers on design status, tooling, testing, and delivery.
• Review supplier drawings, test reports, tooling designs, and fixtures with guidance.
• Support prototype builds, lab testing, and plant launch activities.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for development and warranty issues.
• Ensure compliance with FMVSS and regional homologation requirements.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Program Management teams.
