Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an automotive mechanical engineer to own the design, development and release of BIW upper body components. You will perform parametric NX modeling and work with suppliers and stamping plants to meet milestones and performance targets.

The role emphasizes DFMEA/DVP&R validation, CBOM management, and on-site launch support, with strong communication to cross-functional teams and a commitment to quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering required.
• 1–3 years in automotive sheet metal development or related area.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and PLM systems with NX/Teamcenter familiarity.
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R and validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage design, development, and release of BIW upper body components.
• Parametric modeling using NX and collaboration with suppliers and plants.
• Develop CBOM/Quads for subassemblies and create Source Package docs.
• Define and track validation plans (DVP&R, DFMEA) and coordinate testing.
• Provide onsite launch support and address fit, finish, and gating issues.
• Ensure compliance with standards and communicate status to stakeholders.
