Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards at our St. Peters facility. You’ll work in a climate-controlled, modern shop, using advanced tools and ongoing training to grow your skills.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, adhere to EH&S practices, and contribute to a trusted customer experience while supporting CarMax’s mission as the nation’s largest used-car retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by State/Local law.
