Job summary

TGK Automotive Specialists in Bloomington, MN is seeking Auto Repair Technicians to diagnose and repair customer vehicles to MAP guidelines with high quality and efficiency. You will work with a seasoned staff to handle multiple repairs daily, ensuring timely service.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma (ASE certification preferred), a valid driver's license, is at least 18, and can work five days Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $85,000 per year with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer ASE certification or equivalent training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work five days (Mon-Fri).

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to appropriate certifications and experience.
• Performs work as outlined on inspections and repair orders with accuracy.
• Explains diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and management.
• Recommends services to keep vehicles in running condition and documents them.
• Follows safety procedures and reports any concerns to supervision.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renewals as needed.

Education

If you’re a motivated technician, you’ll have the ability to handle multiple repairs throughout the day with a seasoned staff, we are looking for you. Auto Techs are essential in our shops to ensure that scheduled maintenance and repairs are provided with the highest quality standards in the clients expected timeframe.

The Automotive Technician / Mechanic is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturer’s and company standards.

COMPENSATION:$60,000/Yr. to 85,000/Yr. VARIES DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.


• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.


• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.


• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.


• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.


• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training


• Possess valid driver’s license


• Must be at least 18 years old


• Ability to work a minimum of five days, Monday- Friday
