Job summary

WSP is seeking a Junior Architect to join our US Postal Service Team and potentially work from multiple US offices including Tampa, FL. The role supports design development, production of working drawings, and project documentation using REVIT and related software.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Architecture with 1-3 years of design experience and are willing to travel to client sites as needed. Masters and a license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 1-3 years of related design experience.
• The ability to travel to project or client sites, as needed.
• Proficiency with REVIT, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Rhino.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of assignments requiring standard architectural techniques for small to large projects.
• Assist with the preparation of design documents, reports and project documents using REVIT and other software.
• Complete designs for applicable projects; prepare architectural drawings and documents.
• Prepare project specifications, compiling and analyzing data.
• Conduct site and construction inspections and compile reports for management.
• Assist in development of proposals.

This Opportunity

As part of our US Postal Service Team, you will support projects for the US Postal Serviceand be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

• Perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects to large projects. Exercise independent judgement in some areas evaluating, selecting and applying standard architectural design techniques, procedures and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications.
• Assist with the preparation of design documents, reports and related project documents using REVIT and other applicable software.
• Completes designs for applicable project; prepares architectural working drawings and related project documents.
• Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.
• Conducts site and construction inspections gathering information, compiling reports for management.
• May assist in development of proposals.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Compensation:

• Expected Salary (all locations): $70,400 – $95,000
• WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
• Expected Salary (Colorado only): $70,400 - $89,200
• WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
