Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Senior Application Engineer/Machine Vision to support design, configuration and deployment of machine vision applications across manufacturing clients. You will work with industrial cameras, lenses, lighting, and vision sensors to build robust inspection workflows.

The role involves assisting with image acquisition, testing, POCs, demos, and pilot deployments, and requires hands-on machine vision experience, basic image processing knowledge, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

As an Senior Application Engineer/Machine Vision

Key Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, and deployment of machine vision applications
• Work with industrial cameras, lenses, lighting, and vision sensors
• Assist in image acquisition, inspection logic, and vision workflows
• Configure and test vision software and tools for various use cases
• Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), demos, and pilot deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and automation
• Troubleshoot basic vision-related issues and document solutions
• Maintain application notes, reports, and technical documentation
• Assist with customer support, on-site testing, and training when required

Qualifications

• BE / BTech / Diploma / MSc students or fresh graduates (Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields)
• Hands-on exposure or formal training in Machine Vision (mandatory)
• Basic understanding of image processing and vision concepts
• Familiarity with cameras, lighting, lenses, and vision systems
• Exposure to any vision software or tools such as Cognex, Keyence, Omron, OpenCV, HALCON, or similar is a plus
• Willingness to learn, work on-site, and travel if required
• Good communication skills and problem-solving mindset
