Zhang Lab - Junior Specialist at University of California San Francisco is seeking a part-time junior specialist to contribute to projects on CFTR’s role in ameloblast differentiation and enamel formation. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field or at least four years of research experience.
• Experience with basic laboratory techniques including mouse colony maintenance, histology, immunostaining, DNA analysis, RNA purification/qPCR/RNA-seq analysis, mitochondrial activity biochemistry assays.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous lab notebook maintenance.
• Willingness to learn new methods and work both independently and in a team.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments involving mouse colony maintenance, mouse handling, histology, immunostaining, cell culture, and biochemical assays.
• Analyze experimental results and relevant literature to support research goals.
• Demonstrate creativity in developing new research ideas and approaches.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation and writing.
• Perform general laboratory duties and maintain a clean, organized lab.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support projects.
