Job summary

deciBel Research, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a junior AI Software Developer to build intelligent analytics solutions that transform engineering and business data into actionable insights.

You'll collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders to create dashboards, data pipelines, and AI-enabled applications using Python, ML frameworks, and REST APIs. A BS in CS or CE is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with hands-on experience, personal projects, internships or bootcamp experience.
• Demonstrated experience with at least one modern programming language (Python, C++, Rust).
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Built at least one meaningful service/API.
• System-level thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled applications using Python, ML frameworks, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
• Develop intelligent data pipelines that ingest, correlate, and analyze information from enterprise sources such as Cameo Systems Modeler and Tableau.
• Build AI-powered dashboards and interactive analytics for engineers and decision-makers.
• Develop retrieval, summarization, and natural language query capabilities using AI and LLM technologies.
• Create scalable data models and services supporting analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional environment with engineers, data scientists, UX designers, and product owners.
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing enterprise applications via REST APIs, cloud services.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
• Prototype innovative AI solutions and mature concepts into production-ready software.
• Stay current with AI, ML, and data visualization technologies to solve real-world challenges.
