Job summary

Systems Integration Solutions is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to join its AI engineering team in Austin. The role centers on building AI-powered applications using Python and Java, with a focus on LLMs and Agentic AI frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MongoDB and a strong software engineering foundation, plus eagerness to learn and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with Java.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Exposure to Agentic AI concepts, frameworks, or AI agents.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications using Python and Java.
• Build and enhance solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Develop AI workflows, automation solutions, and intelligent agents.
• Integrate AI capabilities with backend systems, APIs, and databases.
• Work with MongoDB to design and manage application data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize AI applications for performance and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices.
