Job summary

Alpha Omega seeks a motivated Junior AI Programmer Analyst for its TSG team in Vienna, VA. This internship focuses on building AI-powered tools to improve internal operations, knowledge management, and proposal development processes.

You will design AI applications such as chatbots, knowledge retrieval systems, and automation tools that integrate with SharePoint and internal data systems. The role emphasizes hands‑on learning in AI/ML, cloud services, and modern development frameworks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong Python development skills and practical project experience.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Exposure to LLM platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or open‑source models).
• Experience with NLP or deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
• Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Chroma, pgvector).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop internal AI‑powered tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Support a secure internal AI chatbot enabling natural language knowledge interaction.
• Build a SharePoint Knowledge GPT system to search internal docs.
• Assist in Proposals using Agentic RAG for historical data analysis.
• Contribute to a PMO Intelligence Dashboard with real‑time insights.
• Integrate AI solutions with SharePoint, internal databases, and APIs.
• Support semantic search and vector databases for enterprise retrieval.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy AI solutions on cloud services.
