Job summary

MCI, a leading technology-enabled business services company, is seeking an Accountant to manage accounting operations including financial reporting, records, and internal controls. This role requires attention to detail, timely month-end close, and collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting or finance with 1–2 years of accrual-basis experience in AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 1-2 years of accrual basis accounting experience including AR, journal entries, month-end close and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interact at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with proofreading and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation
• Enters routine journal entries and bank transactions
• Enters AP bills and credit card transactions if needed
• Performs month-end closing and reconciliation
• Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information
• Performs bank reconciliation
• Supports department peers as needed
