Job summary

Fourth District Court of Appeal in Florida is seeking law clerks to write judicial bench memoranda and conduct legal research. The position supports the Judge in all aspects of the role, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Partial remote work may be considered. Minimum two years’ experience required; state bar admission is mandatory. Competitive benefits are provided by the State of Florida.

Applicants must have passed a state bar exam and be admitted to a state bar association.Applicants must have outstanding analytical, writing, editing, and research skills. Successful applicants have typically performed well in law school.Law review or other journal experience is preferred, but not required.The applicant is expected to be attentive to both detail and deadlines, and otherwise assist the Judge in all job aspects.Partial remote work may be considered.

Description

The applicant will write judicial bench memoranda of law and perform additional legal research as needed.The applicant will also perform computer-based case management tasks as needed.

• $69,238.80 for entry law clerks (0-1 years experience).
• $78,519.84 for senior law clerks (min. 2 years experience).
• $88,324.08 for career law clerks (min. 5 years experience).
